David Hermann, PharmD

Dr. Hermann has over 19 years of drug development experience within the pharmaceutical industry.        Throughout Dr Hermann’s career he has focused on the strategic application of pharmacometric techniques to aid early, informed decision making.    Prior to joining GLDD Dr. Hermann held positions of increasing responsibility with Glaxo, Pharsight, Pfizer, and deCODE.  As Executive Director, Pharmacometrics with deCODE, Dr. Hermann’s responsibilities include leading early clinical development teams, designing Phase I-II clinical development strategies, dose selection for Phase I-II trials, execution and reporting of Phase I-II clinical trials, and interaction with regulatory authorities.  Dr. Hermann is an internationally recognized expert in the application of modeling and simulation techniques to drug development decision making.  He received his PharmD from the University of Illinois, followed by a 2-year fellowship in drug development co-sponsored by the University of North Carolina and Glaxo.   In his current role with GLDD Dr Hermann provides leadership for early clinical development teams, pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology, and biostatistics.
